Fashion Week París Haute Couture - Alexandre Vaultier, Maison Martin Margiela & Elie Saab.

The days go by and the collections are getting more beautiful every day.

Last night, Alexandre Vaultier shocked his front row's guests. Each and one of his heartrending pieces scream rawness and yet, I don't know how this motherfucker leads to the most chic dresses.

We see a lot of golden accesories, dark colors, animal-prints, in those kind of fabrics that could walk by themselves, matching the perfect accesories: a pair of Louboutines.

.....

Let's cut the crap: Cate Blanchett didn't showed up. Las night, at 8:30 (Paris time), it was Giorgio Armani's turn. The master of the refined and sophistication. Everything we'll see, comes from his everlsating inspiration from the very beggining of his carreer: the Asian culture, and black & white movies. As a matter of fact, every piece here is from a palette pale-blue and gray tones.

.....

-

I think today's the best day, if we are talking "creativity". Starting with my greatest god: Martin Maison Margiela (if you read my very first post, he's the one with the gorg boutique). This man is not just a designer, he's more like an artisan. There are no patterns to follow and no rules in his garments. We saw the masks again, of course.

This summer collection is made, literally, from furniture fabrics, courtains and carpets. BUT, there's an attractive twist here: the fabrics were collector's items in themselves. Bolts and doodles of printed materials designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Raoul Dufy and Mariano Fortuny.

So: vintage gowns for those who live in the modern-art/mid-century world.

.....

It's every girl's dream.

-

There's no woman who doesn't like Elie Saab, she just doesn't exist. This summer, every piece was perfection: ONCE AGAIN. Light dresses, smooth tones, light patters and fabrics a little less baroque than usual. Every and each one of these gowns will walk through the Red Carpet.
It's every girl's dream.

*Quiero llorar* I wanna cry*

Fashion Week Haute Couture Paris - Chanel & Ulyana Sergeenko.

-

You can't go wrong with Karl Lagerfeld. The fab designer keeps his foot down: haute couture has to be exclusively for the young and audacious women with big wallets, despite the controversy it creates on orthodox fashionistas who claim that Chanel should be a perogative for wealthy seasoned ladies.

With Tilda Swinton, Anna Wintour, and his best friend, Grace Coddington's pressence at the front row, the message was prettey clear from the beggining: the collection was inspired by the world of sport, with, of course, those classic little jackets and the gorgeous face of Cara Delevigne; although, high heels, were off the table (for most designers). OH-OH! The 80-year-old designer made the impossible, the girls literally skiped down the staircase. Well, that's new.

Being the absolute favorite in the industry, there is no wonder why he's been on the head of Fendi for 49 years and 31 for Chanel. I repeat: you can't go wrong with Karl.

.....

-

I've got not much to say about the newbie Ulyana Sergeenko. Those gowns speak for themselves. It's one of those thing that you need to see once, and it lasts an eternity. Gorgeous designs.

See you tomorrow, kids.
