Models smoking cigarrettes, with butterflies and feathers on their heads, in fab gothic makeup, these were some of the few key elements for his collection. A burlesque ambiance pencil skirts and cigarrete pants... a rush to Dita Von Teese's 40's, who was the special guest on the runway. Gorgeous.
Usually I wouldn't post so many pics, but these babies are totally worth watching.

Bailarinas fantasmales en látex. Tranquilamente. Viktor & Rölf presentaron, en la Plaza Vendome, una colección de faldas trapezoidales que buscaban borrar la línea entre la piel y la tela. Listones, golondrinas y mariposas - pintadas a mano en el látex para asemejarse a los tatuajes - añaden un toque surrealista muy sweet, sobre todo por que se colocaron las aves sosteniendo los drapeados en sus picos.
El objetivo de confundir al público, se logró... No todos los días caminan por la pasarela las bailarinas del Ballet Nacional de Holanda sobre la punta de sus pies en la semana de alta costura de París. Es como si una cajita de música cobrara vida.

Fantasmal latex ballerinas. Easy as that. Viktor & Rölf runway show took place at the Vendome Plaza and this time they chose ballerina short skirts. The thing was to vanish the line between the fabric and the skin. Ribbons, butterflies and birds - hand painted on the latex to look-a-like tattoos - bring alive a sweet surrealism.
The objective was to confuse the public, and they nailed it. A group of dancers from the National Dutch Ballet, on their toes, at the Haoute Couture Fashion Week at Paris, is just something you don't see everyday.
It was like a jewlery box came to life.

Por cierto! Hoy inicia The Fashion Fund!!!! Una serie tipo Project Runway, solamente que ésta vez estamos hablando de alto pedorraje: Diane Von Furstenberg, diseñadora y presidenta de CFDA, y Anna Wintour, editora at-large de American Vogue, como jueces decididas a impulsar la carrera de jóvenes diseñadores. Lo que nos extraña a todos es que la mujer de hielo se preste a éste tipo de cosas, jamás nos hubiéramos imaginado a Anna en un TVshow.
