Fashion Week Paris Haute Couture - Dior, Giambattista & Mabille.

Empecemos por lo sucedido ayer.

Christian Dior. (Muchas veces, sin querer, escribo Dios en lugar de Dior, pero la verdad es que no hay diferencia.)

Raf Simons, director de arte de ésta casa, ha demostrado una vez más que es el indicado a tomar las riendas del lugar, PÉSELE A QUIÉN LE PESE, empezando por la hermosa ubicación de la pasarela: el Museo Rodin, tapizado en blanco.

Vimos pétalos de gasa, encajes, seda, azabache y bordados en colores azules y beiges, con tonalidades negras y algo de blanco. Elemento "OMG": el juego entre lo asimétrico y lo minimalista. Very 60's.

Lets start with yesterday.

Christian Dior.

Raf Simons, artistic director of the haus, has proven once again that he is the right man behind the scene, like it or not! Starting for the beautiful location for the runway: the Rodin Museum, all in white. Precious.

We saw chiffon petals, lace, silk, small jet beads, embroideries in light blues and beiges, with some black and white, of course. So Mr. Dior. The "OMG" element? The minimalist and asymetrical in the gowns. Very 60's.

Sin duda alguna, el highlight de anoche fue Giambattista Valli. Una vez más, obras de arte que nos podemos poner. Una colección para todas aquellas it-girls sin miedo a experimentar y a resaltar (y sin límite de presupuesto, claro).

Juro que veía modelos caminar con pinturas de Mondrian o Van Gogh encima.

Without question, last night's highlight was Gimabattista Valli. Once again, works of art we can wear. A collection for those ferless it-girls determined to outstand and cna afford dreamlike outfits. 

I swear, it was like watching Mondrian or Van Gogh's paintings on the runway.

Si se trata de llorar, soñar y revolcarse en el piso, Alexis Mabille siempre será el indicado. Nunca en mi vida había visto un runway show tan girly. Todo aquello fue un cuento de princesas. 

Sean o no sean vestidos de novia, son de esos que uno quisiera ponerse todos los dias. Dormir, comer, bañarme con él. ESTO, SEÑORAS Y SEÑORES, diosas Greco-Romanas en un verdadero show Haute Couture a la talla de Paris. Bravo, Alexis, BRA-VO.

If it's all about mourn, dream and drama, Alexis Mabille will always be THE one. I've never seen a runways show so full of girliness. It truly was a fairy tale. 

Bridal or not bridal, these kind of dresses are the ones that we will want to wear 24/7. THIS, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, Greco-Roman godesses, is a real Paris Haute Couture Runway Show.

Deeeeefinitivamente mi semana favorita del año. Bendita sea la alta costura.

Del 19 al 24 de Enero, arrancan las pasarelas de ensueño, empezando por el runway show de Atelier Versace anoche, en la fabulosa Ville-Lumière, París.

Con Lady Gaga, Mario Testino, y Franca Sozzani, en primera fila, Dontatella nos presentó una paleta de colores un tanto pasteles, mezclando jersey hoods con vestidos largos y vaporosos, muy chic, y muy a lo Grace Jones.

Jamás ha habido duda que la hermana menor de Gianni sabe usar las mejores siluetas cónicas para resaltar las curvas femeninas, y ésta vez no fue la excepción.

From January 19th to the 24th, the fantasy runways begin to glam, starting yesterday with Atelier Versace's runway show in the fabulous Ville-Lumière, Paris.

With front row presence of Lady Gaga, Mario Testino, and Franca Sozzani,  Donatella presented a pastel palette, mixing jersey hoods with vaporous long dresses. Very chic, and so Grace Jones.

There's never been doubt that Gianni's little sis knows how to use tapered silouhettes to emphasize the woman figure, and this time was no exception.

Para el día de hoy, están programados Schiaparelli, On Aura Tout Vu, Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli, y Alexis Mabille.

En lo personal, la nueva colección de alta costura de Schiaparelli se me hizo de lo más innovadora. Estoy en shock. De eso se trata la alta costura - alterar al público.

Por cierto, pasado mañana es la subasta en Christie's Paris de los objetos personales y prendas de la eterna rival de Coco Chanel, por su nieta Marisa Shciaparelli Berenson. El viernes les hago saber el valor total de sus pertenencias.

Today's turn is for Schiaparelli, On Aura Tout Vu, Christian Dior, Giambattista Valli, and Alexis Mabille.

Personally, I think Schiaparelli's collection is beyond innovative. I'm in shock, and that's what haute couture is all about. 

By the way, Christie's Paris is having a fab auction of Coco Chanel's eternal rival, by her granddaughter Marisa Schiaparelli Berenson, on the 23rd. I'll let you know the total worth of her personal objects on Friday.  

Impactante verdad? - Shocking, huh?
